Explanation of various terms used in context with the DAS registry

 To register the following information needs to be provided:

Nickname/Title The nickname of a server, that should be displayed if a short reference to this server should be given. This can be related to the name of the method which is used to calculate the results that are being provided by this DAS service.

Coordinate System There is a separate page the documents coordinate systems.

DAS url The url where to find a DAS service. It should contain the full path to the service, excluding DAS commands.

Admin email The email of the person that should be contacted if any problems occur with the service.

Description A short description of the content provided by this service.

DAS capabilities The DAS commands that are understood by this service. There is a separate page that documents capabilities.

Test accession/ segment code A valid accession code that can be used to validate the response of this service. Once the register button has been pressed, the registration service will try to validate the DAS service, to make sure that valid DAS - XML is returned and that the service returns data. For a manual validation check please proceed to the validation page.

URL for more detailed description The Description field only contains a short decription of the DAS service. This link can be used to link back to the homepage of the DAS service.

Labels Several collaboration have commited to provide DAS services. This Label tag can be used to label the affiliation of a service. There is a separate page that documents labels.
