GeneDAS

GeneDAS is a simple extension to the DAS 1.53 protocol that allows the exchange of annotations via reference identifiers (accession codes) rather than reference sequence ranges. Location data (<start> and <stop>) is irrelevant, and annotation applies to the entire entity referenced by the ID.

An example view that is using GeneDAS is the ensembl geneview. This example activates a DAS source that is using GeneDAS and displays its features.
